Geographic Setting of Nubia:
Nubia is In now what is Sudan, Egypt. There is a lower, upper, and southern Nubia. Historically Nubia land stretched roughly from Aswan (now egypt), in the north, to the Kosti city along the White Nile river, and the Sinner city along the Blue Nile. Topography consists of Deserts, except a narrow strip of the nile valley, which provided fertile agriculture and abundant pastures for settled Ancient Nubian communities.
Because of the availability of the Nile Valley food, human communities grew more than in any other Sudan and Nubia location. Agriculture along the narrow strip of the nile valley gave the Nubian communities the necessary foods they needed. Animals, resources and water all were major impacts on my why the land was a great place for early settlement. Geography helped the early development for all ancient history in Nubia. Ancient Nubia had the Nile river running through their land, which was a great water source for the people who inhabited there. With houses made of straw and clay, they were now no longer hunters and gatherers, they were settlers. Nubia was the first unified civilization at their time period.
